LOCAL CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK

NOTE:  Residents who require criminal records checks for teaching positions in either North, South or East Gibson must have their criminal history checks completed by the Indiana State Police in Indianapolis.  Forms for this purpose are available from the respective school corporation's central office.

A local criminal records check can be requested from the Gibson County Sheriff's Department.  The information contained in these checks are taken only from our agency's records.  If you require a comprehensive criminal history check, such as those required for certain positions within a school corporation, you must contact the Indiana State Police Records Bureau in Indianapolis.

To obtain a local criminal records check, download and complete the form below.  The form should be brought to the Gibson County Sheriff's Department between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Central Time Monday through Friday.  You should also bring with you a photo ID and $7 cash or money order (made payable to the Gibson County Sheriff's Department).
