October 25, 2003- An early morning traffic accident near Gibson Southern High School (CR400W & CR800S), sends three Owensville residents to the hospital. According to witnesses, a 1991 Dodge van driven by Amy Ensley, age 29, crossed the center line and ran into a ditch. Ensley stated that her youngest child had unfastened her car seat, and she was reaching around to refasten it, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. Amy Ensley suffered a leg injury from being pinned in the vehicle, and was Lifeflighted to Deaconess Hospital. Both children in the vehicle received minor injuries and were taken to Gibson General Hospital. Investigating officers: Deputy Doug Dewig Gibson County Sheriff's Dept, and Ft. Branch Town Marshal Rick Sides.
