November 3, 2003- On 11-03-2003, at approximately 3:15PM the Gibson County Sheriff's Department received a phone call concerning a possible gunshot victim in rural Owensville. Upon arrival, officers found 44 year-old Jeff Boes in the kitchen of his rural home. Boes had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Gibson General Hospital where he was then flown by Air-Evac helicopter to an Evansville hospital where he later died at approximately 2:10AM on 11-04-03. Also found inside the residence was Boes' wife, 25 year-old Brandi Boes dead from a gunshot wound. A short time later, officers discovered 67 year-old Joe Sutton dead of an apparent gunshot wound at a residence near the Boes' residence. The case remain under investigation by the Gibson County Sheriff's Department, the Indiana State Police, and the Gibson County Coroner's Office. (updated 11-04-2003 20:27; 26-23)
