
April 2, 2004- At approximately 11:45PM, Thursday night April 1, 2004, Knox County Sheriff Steve Luce and deputies from the Knox County Sheriff's Department worked in conjunction with Captain Jim Stoll and deputies from the Gibson County Sheriff's Department to serve Knox County arrest warrants at a residence on U.S. 41 North near Hazleton in Gibson County. When deputies from both agencies arrived at the residence, a clandestine methamphetamine lab was discovered. Helen Smith and Billy White were transported to the Knox County Law Enforcement Center on Knox County warrants while Anthony McCoy was transported to the Gibson County Jail on an arrest warrant out of Pike County. Agencies responding include Knox County Sheriff's Department, Gibson County Sheriff's Department, Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources (Conservation Officer), and Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team.
