April 6, 2004- During saturation patrol, at approximately 1:30AM, in Buckskin, IN., Deputy Brad Nixon and Reserve Deputy Kevin McKannan observed a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway with its lights off. Deputies made a traffic stop on the vehicle and located Beth A. Martin (19 yrs. old of Evansville, IN.) in the vehicle. After further investigation, officers located methamphetamine in her possession and a false identification card and charged with 1 Class D Felony and 1 Class B Misdemeanor. She was also arrested for attempted theft of anhydrous ammonia, a Class D Felony and possession of paraphernalia (Infraction) and a warrant from Vanderburgh County. During further investigation the ammonia was recovered and destroyed. Other assisting officers were Deputy Bruce Vanoven, Mike Cunningham, with Gibson Co. Sheriff's Dept., Darrell Parker (Ft. Branch PD), and John Daniel (Oakland City PD). At press time, Martin is being held in the Gibson Co. Jail on a $2,050 bond should be scheduled to appear in court on Tues. 4-6-04.
