April 17, 2004- On April 17, 2004 at approximately 10:30AM, Central Dispatch received a call regarding a four-wheeler accident on County Road 550N, approximately 2 miles west of U.S. 41. When deputies arrived on scene, they found 3 juvenile victims (2- female and 1-male) down a steep embankment. The male and one female victim were taken by Life-Flight to St. Mary's Hospital and the second female was treated at Gibson General Hospital. The extent of all three victim's injuries are still being assessed as of press time. Gibson County EMS unit's Medic 3 &Medic 4 were on-scene and Hazleton White River Fire Dept assisted as well.
The investigating officers include Deputy Denise Beadle and Reserve Deputy Randy Ziliak. Conservation Officer Duane Englert assisted in the investigation.
